Test editor is the lesson type used for testing / eTesting to build your own test scheme and questions. Most of the eLearning courses are finished with the prove of information retained by users and final tests or exams are done through Test editor.
Each test editor lesson has 4 tabs:

1. Edit - defines general settings (Always complete 1st tab and Save to make other tabs available)
2. Question editor - Create questions - select type of lesson you add to the test
3. Questions in lesson - shows questions you have assigned to the lesson
4. Question bin - shows all questions created either by you or marked as visible to all by other users
5. Test Lesson reporting principles

1) Fill the TEST Lesson Edit tab and Save (follow direction 1 first):
* Name - set a unique name to be able identify the lesson perfect (120 characters lenght available)
* Description - add detailed lesson description
* In New window - opens the test in New browser window
* Visible to all - the lesson will be visible to all system administrators and they may use it for their students as well.
* Number of trials - set the number of trials. This number then checks number of opens the document and if reached it will lock the lesson. You may set 0 for unlimited attempts.
* Time limit - you may set the time limit if you want restrict user on the time he is able spend in the Test lesson. The time is recorded in the system and if achieved the lesson will be closed. Always consider the time necessary for filling all questions and moving between the pages of questions to allow user finalize still within the time limit. You may also set the time per limit and reset time for each attempt, see detailed time settings.
* Needed score - Set the required score
- Set 0 when you don't expect the lesson must be passed, open the lesson is enough. Which is not the case in the lesson where users have to prove their knowledge.
- Set whatever else number to secure you want user to pass the test. Usually there is 80% set, to allow users some minor mistakes.
* Points per question - each question may have its own points value. In case you set the value here, all question will have same value.
* Questions per page - Set the number of question per 1 page
* Number of questions - Set the total number of questions. Together with Questions per page you will get the number of pages. You may set 1 page view for all questions, just set the same number for Questions per page and Number of questions.
* Shuffle questions - changes the order of questions within the test, users will never get the same question order. They will never be able share results to other users.
* Show answers:
- Never - never shows answers (the most difficult for users, as they will not get a feedback on their answers).
- After test - user will be able to see his answers after test.
- On every page - user will see answers on each page before he continues to next page of finishes the test.
* Save user position - user is able to leave the test on whatever place and later return back using the Resume button.
* Shuffle answers - changes the order of answers within the question, users will never get the same answers order within the question. They will never be able share results to other users.
* Partial score - is used for tests where you have questions with multiple answers or matching. Even if the question is answered partially, the user gets some points. In case you not use this functionality, users gets 0 points if the answer isn't 100% right.

2) Question editor
Select the type of question that fits best to your purposes, available types:
* Multiple correct - more correct answers from more
* One Correct - just one correct answer from more
* Yes / No - one correct answers, just True or False
* Connect - Connect matching options together
* Blank text - add text info into your test, the question has no points and it's just informative

As there is chance to add pictures into questions, please pay attention to File sizes available for uploads. In case the uploaded file is larger than the values, the system will prevent uploading. You need to resolve in Settings / Space Management

3) Questions in Lesson
Tab shows the questions selected assigned to the lesson. You may add more questions than a maximum number of questions, if shuffle Questions options is on, then a random selection of question will be made for each test. This way you may secure that each user will have a totally different questions, not the changed order only.
In case Shuffle questions is off and you add same number questions as the total questions in Edit tab, then you may make an exact question order by moving up and down.

4) Question bin
Is the bin where all your questions done so far are visible and may be reused. Also the questions by other authors marked as visible to all are visible here. Question bin is an overall question storage.
You may add or remove questions to and from the lesson.

5) Test Lesson reporting principles

The lesson tracks its score, attempts and time spent. You may find the parameters shown in the Detailed reporting.

Score - the highest score of all attempts.
Attempts - sum of all attempts. If Resume is allowed then each resume is counted as the same attempt.
Time - tracks the last attempt and total time spent.
